Audiophiles out there can treat themselves to the new range of custom Skullcandy Mix Master headphones that are being churned out by ColorWare. Designed for various gadgets and iDevices such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad, they are expected to come in over 40 different hues.
Fitted with the company’s proprietary Mylar drivers, the headphones from Skullcandy house 50mm speakers with a Neodymium magnet and frequencies of 20Hz to 20KHz. Built around a rugged form factor, they’re crafted from materials such a polycarbonate, ABS, stainless steel and aluminum. And besides the dual cable inputs and the interchangeable Mic3 cable, the accessory is embedded with a one-touch mute button and plush ear pillows for added comfort.
“We have worked with ColorWare to produce several custom Mix Masters for special events such as the NBA All-Star game and for Skullcandy athletes,” expressed Clarke Miyasaki, VP Business Development at Skullcandy. “We are now thrilled to be able to offer this same service to our loyal customer base.”
The total length of the standard cable reads at 0.8 meters long and it comes with a 3.5mm gold-plated plug as well as various control options such as play, pause and the ability to adjust the volume. On the design front, potential users will have choices of more than 46 colors. For NBA fans, the headphones will even feature logos of all 30 teams, while they are also said to come in standard ColorWare shades.
The Skullcandy Mix Master price starts at $399. Potential users can pick up the NBA team colors for $500. These custom headphone are available for purchase through the ColorWare website.
