Cricket iPhone 4 and 4S to launch with unlimited talk, text and data plan

Cricket iPhone 4 4S

The Cricket all-inclusive pre-paid plan is scheduled to launch with the iPhone 4 and 4S smartphones, bearing a price tag of $55 per month. This subscription comes with limitless date usage, talktime as well as text and it’s expected to go live for both iOS-powered devices starting Friday, June 22.

Claimed to be the first pre-paid carrier in the US to put the iPhone up for grabs, potential users will be able to pick up the iPhone 4 and 4S variants sans any contract and activation fee. Although the plan states unlimited data, the wireless network provider has implemented a fair usage policy which limits the total usage to approximately 2.3GB per month.

“Our customers want the best products available and we are excited to bring iPhone to our pre-paid consumers with an industry leading $55 per-month service plan,” expressed Doug Hutcheson, president and chief executive officer, Leap Wireless International. “Launching iPhone is a major milestone for us and we are proud to offer iPhone customers attractive nationwide coverage, a robust 3G data network and a value-packed, no-contract plan.”

The iPhone 4S handset comes equipped with a dual core A5 processor from Apple, packing in full 1080p HD resolution video capture, the virtual assistant Siri, iCloud and iOS 5.1. Its predecessor, the iPhone 4 incorporates a single core SOC and a host of other interesting features. Both devices can be picked up through Cricket retail outlets located in around 60 markets, the carrier’s website or over the phone. The iPhone registration page has also gone live via the mycricket.com/iphone URL.

The 16GB Cricket iPhone 4S price tag reads as $499.99, while the 8GB iPhone 4 smartphone can be purchased for $399.99. Both iOS devices will be available in color options of black or white when they’re launched on June 22, 2012.
