Coolpad has officially launched the Note 5 in India, the latest entry in its series of affordable handsets. The brand has chosen to partner with Amazon to vend the phone and will put it up for sale on October 20.
The Coolpad Note 5 will set interested buyers back by Rs 10999. It offers a decent mix of specs at that price. Its main standout feature is its fairly large 4010mAh battery. The unit can apparently last for 20 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. The handset also ships with a fingerprint scanner fixed below its camera module.
Coolpad claims the sensor can unlock the smartphone within 0.1 seconds. In terms of design, the phone has been fashioned out of metal and features 2.5D curved glass. The company is also looking to appeal to selfie-lovers by blessing the 8MP front-facing shooter with an LED flash unit.
Interestingly, the Note 5 comes with the same Dual Space system which first made its debut in the Coolpad Max. The tool lets users maintain two app accounts in the same phone, a useful trait for multitaskers who have more than one WhatsApp or Messenger profiles.
