Coolpad has released the Note 3 Lite from its flash sale chains, letting the phone vend in an open sale instead. The handset is still an Amazon-exclusive and is priced at Rs 6999.
To recall, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite made its debut in India back in January this year. The company had promised to update the phone to Android 6.0 at the time without announcing a specific timeline. However, a query on its Facebook page from a customer has revealed that it’s currently working on the OS and expects to roll the software out next month.
Coolpad had also guaranteed that it would send out an update which will allow the device to support VoLTE technology. The dual-SIM phone’s main claim to fame is its fingerprint scanner, located on the rear surface of the handset. It apparently unlocks the smartphone within 0.5 seconds and can withstand 1 million presses.
