Sony is planning to use Intel’s latest Intel’s new Core 2 Duo mobile processors in its new range of slim notebooks. The VAIO C Series notebooks are available in five colors including seashell white, blush pink, spring green, espresso black and urban gray. So now get a refreshing change of colors from the oh! so boring and sober blacks, whites and grays.
The 5-pound VAIO C Series include a 13.3″ widescreen display with XBRITE-ECO screen technology, 100GB 5400RPM SATA hard drive, DVD±R Double Layer/DVD±RW/-RAM drive, 802.11a/b/g wireless and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. In addition to USB ports, it also has slots for Memory Sticks and ExpressCards, and it comes with a memory card adapter for other cards.
Sony’s its black C Series notebook has the best specifications and features a 256MB GeForce Go 7400 mobile GPU while the other models make do with integrated GMA950 graphics
The Vaio C will retail for $1,350 and will be available in October in “espresso black” and “urban gray” at SonyStyle.com, Sony Style stores and other retailers. Unfortunately, for those of you hoping to match your laptop to your decor, the “seashell white,” “blush pink,” and “spring green” versions won’t be available until November.
