Celkon Campus A125 is a cheap Android phone for Rs 6,299

Indian brand Celkon has just launched a new Campus A125, an extremely pocket-friendly Android phone pegged at Rs 6,299. Since we’re talking very low price here, don’t expect awesome features on the handset. But if you’re looking for a backup device which won’t demand that you empty out your wallet, this might serve just the purpose.

The Celkon Campus A125 is a modestly proportioned handset with a 4.5-inch screen of 960 x 854p resolution. It runs on Android Jelly Bean and 512MB of RAM. There’s 4GB of internal room for storage and in case you need more space, a microSD card slot has been embedded for adding up to 32GB of extra memory.

A 1.3GHz dual core processor, most possibly a MediaTek one, powers the Celkon smartphone. A 2000mAh battery keeps it going between charges and there are two SIM slots under the hood, of course. Like taking pictures from your handset? A 5MP camera sits on the back panel and there’s a 1.3MP lens on the front.
