Casio Japan has announced that the EXILIM Pro EX-F1 digital camera is finally going to ship from March 28, 2008 in the land of the rising sun.

First unveiled at CES 2008 in Las Vegas, the 6MP Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1 has the ability to record high speed movie footage of motion too fast for the human eye, for ultra slow motion playback. Users have the choice of selecting a recording speed of 300 fps, 600 fps or 1,200 fps. In addition, the digital camera incorporates a Movie Button that allows users to quickly recording a movie without first switching from still image mode.

With the Full High-Definition movie recording feature, users can record beautiful movies at a screen size of 1920×1080 pixels and at a rate of 60 fields per second. To enjoy your movie viewing experience, simply connect the camera to an HD compatible television with a separately available HDMI cable.

Casio’s all-new EXILIM Pro EX-F1 digital camera will carry a price tag of approx. $999 (excluding taxes). No information as yet on its global launch.
