Well, when you can’t really tell in which color it is that customers want their Google Nexus 5, adding more options would perhaps be a nice idea. There’s a video of an unnamed person clicking through six new hues for the smartphone on the official Google Play Store page.
Unless someone went to great lengths to have a laugh at everyone else’s expense, then the Nexus 5 is not just going to be sold in black or white soon. It could be out in red, purple, blue, green, yellow and orange too. In case you’re waiting on any of these, there’s no mention about availability as yet.
Although the product page shows the handset with Android 4.4 onboard, the KitKat 4.4.1 update is already rolling out to users. PhoneArena has made a whole slideshow of the phone in its six fresh coats. It’ll obviously only be the exterior that will change with this upcoming release.
The internals will stay the same. So you’re looking at the front with a 5-inch 1080p display and a 1.3MP webcam above it. The rear panel flaunts an 8MP main camera which will benefit greatly from v4.4.1 being introduced. Other key features cover a 2.2GHz quad core processor, 2GB RAM and a 2300mAh camera.
Google Nexus 5 specifications listed:
– Quad core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 chip
– 5-inch 1080p HD IPS touchscreen
– Android KitKat 4.4 platform
– 2GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB internal memory
– 8MP main camera, 1.3MP webcam
– 2300mAh battery
The 16GB Nexus 5 is tagged at $349 and the 32GB one costs $399. The price of the device in the new colors stays the same.
