The ultra-elusive OnePlus One smartphone is set to be made available through a pre-order system later this month. October 27 has been announced to be the date for this much awaited event by the China-based company, but there’s a catch to it – these pre-orders will stay live only for one hour.
OnePlus has revealed through a blog post that the One phone will be made available for pre-order from 15:00 GMT to 16:00 GMT on October 27. If you manage to place you booking during this time, it will be shipped to you immediately. But following this duration, all pre-orders will be entered into a queue, and will be informed how long it’ll take to receive their device.
The company has even announced the launch of a special pre-order website which will do you all the time-consuming work beforehand, so you’re not needed to waste time on October 27. There, you can register and prepare your pre-order of the OnePlus One, add it to your cart and enter your details as a preparation.
Here’s a good look at the specs of the OnePlus One:
– Display: 5.5-inch, 1080p full HD
– OS: Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based CyanogenMod 11S
– Processor: 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801
– Memory: 3GB RAM, 16GB/64GB storage

This shift away from the much hated invite system comes as quite a relief for those hoping to get their hands on the flagship-killer smartphone. To celebrate the opening of OnePlus One pre-orders, its makers will also be offering some accessories at reduced prices, with the prominent one among them being the new JBL E1+ earphones that will sell at $24.99 instead of their normal price of $39.99.
