Equipped with slightly modest specs, the OnePlus X will be making its way into the market in October, according to a new leak. The news is easy to believe because the company’s CEO has already revealed that they will be coming up with a fresh smartphone before the end of this year.
It seems, the Chinese firm has gone back to the drawing board with this one, as the OnePlus X is expected to ship with a new design. The leaked renders indicate that its fingerprint scanner will be placed on the rear surface, rather than on the front one.
As revealed by Gizmo China, there is also the possibility of the device shipping with dual rear cameras. Coming to the internal setup, the outdated Snapdragon 801 chipset from Qualcomm has apparently been chosen by the company. This 32-bit quad core processor-equipped SoC will help in cutting costs, and will hence keep the phone’s final price down.
Other rumored specs of this OnePlus handset include a 5-inch display of unknown resolution. Do note that the renders you’re seeing in the photographs are mere predictions, and have nothing to do with the final design of the device.
The latest offering from the company is of course the 2 smartphone which we put through a review recently. This powerful handset features a pretty decent camera, but is marred by overheating problems owing to its incorporation of the infamous Snapdragon 810 chipset. It’s a big task to buy the phone moreover, given its invite system.
We’ll keep an eye out for any information about the OnePlus X, and bring you all the latest regarding this device.
