Blu Products has been growing in popularity in the US, specifically for its budget-friendly smartphones. The company has added a new addition to its Vivo series, the 4.8 HD, which as the name suggests, is a 4.8-inch handset that offers 720p visuals.
What the moniker doesn’t highlight is the device’s super slim for factor. The Blu Vivo 4.8 HD is amongst the thinnest handsets available in the market, which include the Ascend P6 from Huawei, the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra, the Xperia Z Ultra by Sony and the Vivo X1 amongst others. The phone measures 6.9mm and it weighs 125 grams. Blu Products has also drenched the device in colorful shades such as electric neon yellow, glimmer pink, ceramic white and matte black.
Like most affordable smartphones, the Vivo 4.8 HD comes with a MediaTek SOC, quad core Cortex A7s clocked at 1.5GHz with PowerVR SGX544 graphics. The device is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the company notes that future updates will be provided over the air. Where memory is concerned, there’s 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. No microSD card slot has been provided. A 2000mAh Li-ion battery delivers the steam to power up the phone.
