The Z10 has had quite a turbulent ride up to this point along with BlackBerry, and now several e-retailers have listed it as available or up for pre-order, with some giving fans the option to be notified when it becomes official. Speaking of which, the BB 10 handset is almost certainly to be unveiled for the country this Monday, February 25, 2013, as a very creative invite from the company has suggested.
The device was spotted on eBay.in at the beginning of the month, and at the time fueled speculation that it would come to the country soon. Then it was an exact launch date which was to become the subject of intense scrutiny. And it wasn’t just for the country. In fact, even before the thing was officially announced at the company’s January 30 event, it snowballed into something huge, attracting attention from every corner of the Internet.
The handset has now shown up on several online retailers in the country and it seems Flipkart is following a stringent policy of not revealing images of yet unofficial devices. It did this recently with the Lava Iris 502, and now has just a price of Rs. 45,000 for the black version with a coming soon tag and the option to be notified when in stock. These options are also provided by Indiatimes Shopping that has listed the phone for Rs. 46,690 in both black and white.
Saholic meanwhile, has it offered on a pre-booking ‘bonanza’ of Rs. 45,000 in both colors and allows customers to order. Now Infibeam has one of the most interesting details of all and has the device available for pre-order with a booking amount of just Rs. 5,000. The page says that the actual price will be revealed at launch and the item will be released on February 26, 2013, although only the black version is available via such means. The MobileStore is also allowing folks to pre-book for Rs. 10,000 with an MRP of Rs. 45,000 and EMI options available.
The smartphone has even surfaced on Junglee.com where the black version goes for Rs. 52,893, but the white one is being sold for Rs. 55,368. It redirects to a seller site for the actual purchase process though. Tradus too sells it through third party vendors and has it at a wholesale rate of Rs. 44,980. On the flip side, those who frequent HomeShop18 and Snapdeal will potentially be left disappointed as the retailers haven’t listed the handset just yet.
Finally, we come back to where it all started. It seems various individuals from all over the country are selling the phone on eBay.in starting at Rs. 41,999 and going all the way up to Rs. 59,000. And while some ask for shipping charges, others have it waived away, agreeing to send it across for free.
While we exercise some restraint and patience for the official BlackBerry Z10 launch, which is most likely going to take place in a couple of days, those who just can’t wait can pre-order it online.
