It’s been just a few days since the BlackBerry Passport phablet went official in the US and the phone has already made its debut in India. The super size handset will retail for a whopping Rs 49990, which is akin to that of most other flagship smartphones in the country.
However, the price ($813 after conversion) is much more higher than what is being asked in other locations like the US where it’s selling at $699. The company still has quite a huge fan following in India and that’s probably the reason behind the BlackBerry Passport’s quick arrival.
However, it isn’t the only OEM in a rush to bring the latest products to the nation as we’ve seen HTC, Sony and Samsung launch their flagship devices over the past couple of weeks, mainly because the festive seasons is nearing. The Passport can be considered as the first device from BlackBerry to deliver a perfect balance of modern technology with the classic QWERTY design.
