We already know that the BlackBerry Passport has been receiving huge demand in the US where it has been out of stock multiple times (even now) and it looks like the phone is also a hit in India. Amazon which is the exclusive seller of the handset in the country has listed it as currently unavailable.
Fresh stock was supposed to be made available on October 20, but as you can see, that hasn’t happened. Amazon is allowing potential customers to sign up for an email alert for when the BlackBerry Passport becomes available again. Sadly, we don’t know as yet how many units of the handset the company has managed to sell in India.
The Passport is the company’s attempt at breaching the high-end market after its multiple devices failed to kick off. And by the looks of things, the handset might just get them back on the radar. The phone is a mammoth of a device carrying a 4.5-inch 1440 x 1440 pixel LCD panel and a 3-row QWERTY keyboard with touch support, on the front.
A 2MP camera is also fitted here, while a 13MP snapper with OIS and 1080p recording can be found on the rear. And on the inside, you’ll find some of the beefiest components available on the market.
