BlackBerry has just revealed that its Leap smartphone will be made available for purchase in India from tomorrow onwards in exchange of Rs 21490. This device happens to grab an all-touch form factor, and features support for 4G LTE networks in the country.
Seeing the specs of the BlackBerry Leap, it’s hard to believe that it’s asking for Rs 21490 but that’s indeed the case. Android flagships like the OnePlus One and the Xiaomi Mi 4 are priced at similar values, but are offering way more in terms of hardware than the new BB device.
This new smartphone from the Canadian company carries onboard a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor. This CPU is granted assistance in its operations by 2GB worth of RAM, while the storage space on the Leap is provided by a 16GB ROM. There’s even a microSD card slot present on it, supporting 128GB of additional storage.
BlackBerry has blessed this new handset with an 8MP rear camera which sits beside a flash. Video calling and selfie clicking abilities are given to it by a 2MP front snapper. This phone runs the BB 10.3.1 OS, and hence bears the ability to run Android apps, among other distinct features.
