BlackBerry has another Android phone in store for us, here’s your first look at it

With the Priv out in the market right now, BlackBerry seems to have focused its attention towards a smartphone codenamed Vienna. Just like its latest offering, this device too will run the Android OS rather than the firm’s very own BB 10 OS which never really got off to a good start after its unveiling back in 2013.

Some renders of the BlackBerry Vienna have hit the Internet now, showcasing what the phone will look like. Unfortunately, there’s no word on the kind of specifications it will bear. However, we can make some important observations by just looking at the pictures.

The leaked images have come via CrackBerry, and show that the Vienna will not only come dressed in different colors but also feature textured back panels. While the Priv had a slider keyboard, this new device will have a more permanent one which will occupy around a third of its front surface.

The physical Back, Home and Recent keys on top of the keyboard are enough evidence to believe that this BlackBerry offering will run the Android OS. The Marshmallow version is most likely to be the choice this time around, given the criticism the company is receiving for not pushing it into the Priv.

Talking about that particular smartphone, it features a dual-curved 5.4-inch Quad HD monitor and a hexa core Snapdragon 808 chipset. Apart from a keyboard hidden underneath its body, it is also highlighted by its 18MP rear camera and its large 3410mAh battery.
