OnePlus has been teasing a new product via its social media channels for the past few days, only revealing that it was up to something in collaboration with high-fashion French boutique store colette. Many people were expecting a new blue color variant of the OnePlus 3T since it’s the shop’s signature shade.
As it turns out, OnePlus has in fact launched a new version of the OnePlus 3T. However, it’s not the blue model everyone was expecting, but an all-black iteration. Dubbed the OnePlus 3T colette edition, the limited handset has been announced in celebration of the outlet’s twentieth anniversary.
The OnePlus 3T colette edition looks just like its Gunmetal and Soft Gold siblings. Other than its color, the only difference in its appearance is the collete logo engraved on the back of the device. Specs-wise, the smartphone packs the same features as the others and will be available only in a 128GB of ROM variant.
OnePlus has even slapped it with the same EUR 479 (roughly $513 or Rs 33600) price tag. Unfortunately, the only way to grab the phone is to visit the colette store in Paris on 21 March at 11 am. Diminishing the chances of getting the phone even further is the fact that the brand is only producing 250 units of the model.
Specifications of the OnePlus 3T colette edition:
– OS: Android Marshmallow-based OxygenOS (upgradable to Nougat)
– Display: 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED, 1080 x 1920 pixels
– Memory: 6GB RAM, 128GB storage
– Camera: 16MP rear, 16MP front
– CPU: quad-core Snapdragon 821
– GPU: Adreno 530
– Battery: 3400mAh
– Size: 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35mm
– Weight: 158g
– Connectivity: dual-SIM, 4G, USB Type-C, Wi-Fiac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, GLONASS
OnePlus’ post on the topic doesn’t mention anything about online sales or international availability. By all accounts, this seems to be a one-time partnership that won’t extend beyond Paris. If you do manage to get your hands on the OnePlus 3T colette edition, you’ll be rewarded with a free pair of OnePlus Bullet earphones.
