Here’s something that may perhaps give even Calista Flockhart a complex.
BenQ has rolled out its latest V2400W premium LCD display, which is apparently the slimmest 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor. It measures only 2.44-inches at its thickest point, making it the thinnest 24-inch widescreen LCD.
Blending asymmetry and the aerodynamic curves of the B-2 stealth bomber, the V2400W is the first product from BenQ’s lately developed Kinergy Design.
The V2400W incorporates high-end technology with a 4000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, new RHCM injection process and full 1080p HD support.
The new BenQ LCD display achieves the breathtaking streamlined curve thanks to the advanced Rapid Heat Cycle Molding (RHCM) Injection Technology, which allows new shapes and designs to be molded beyond the conventional box-look.
“The V2400W is inspired by the B2 stealth bomber, evoking a sense of mystery, awe and the elite,” maintained Manfred Wang, Director of the BenQ Lifestyle Design Center. “In addition, the display’s asymmetry exemplifies our new design philosophy. One is captivated by its suspended energy, expecting the screen to tilt. But it stands still, as if time were frozen and the movement paused.”
A rotary force and friction between the metallic parts of the hinge have been accurately calculated so that the right-sided stand can safely support the 24-inch widescreen and also offers the flexibility to adjust viewing angles. While a complete mirror-black finish accentuates the V2400W’s premium status, a subtle blue LED and slick touch controls stylishly enhance the V2400W.
According to BenQ, the V2400W performs accordingly with HDMI with HDCP, DVI-D and VGA inputs offering future-proof high-definition connectivity along with compatibility. The company’s Senseye+photo Human Vision Technology offers brilliantly true-to-life colors. The monitor’s five preset modes, namely Dynamic, Photo, Standard, Movie and sRGB, make possible optimized viewing at the touch of a button.
In addition, the V2400W is NSTL-compliant for advanced color precision consistent from monitor to printer to digital camera to any visual device. The V2400W features BenQ’s Advanced Motion Accelerator Technology (AMA) for fast 2 ms GTG response time, which renders a video in a superior quality, which is crisp, clean detail free of blur and ghosting.
The chic looking display has the distinction of being a recipient of the iF Design Award.
BenQ’s ultra-slim V2400W 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor will hit the Chinese and Asian markets in March, and should reach stores across Europe and North America in April. No word on the pricing of the product as of now.
