Xiaomi Redmi 1S handset to be back on sale in India on December 8, no registrations needed

Now that the sale of the Note phablet from the Chinese company has commenced in India, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S has been taken off the usual Flipkart flash sale system. However, those who haven’t been able to purchase the Rs 5999 smartphone yet will get one more chance to do so on December 8, when a limited quantity of the device will be going live on the e-commerce website.

This sale won’t be like the other ones which the company holds for its devices, in the sense that it won’t need you to register for it beforehand. An undisclosed number of Xiaomi Redmi 1S units will be made available through Flipkart on the above mentioned date, and the sale will cease once they are all sold.

December 8 will also mark the beginning of the e-commerce site’s Big App Sale which will offer heavy discounts to those who shop using its mobile apps. The next day will immediately see the much-in-demand Xiaomi Redmi Note being offered through its second flash sale. It’s to be noted that earlier this week, the said smartphone managed to trade off a total of 50000 units in a span of just 6 seconds.

Here’s a quick look at the kind of specs the Xiaomi Redmi 1S packs inside it:

– Display: 4.7-inch, 720p HD
– OS: Android 4.3 Jelly Bean-based MIUI v5
– Processor: 1.6GHz quad core Snapdragon 400
– Memory: 1GB RAM, 8GB storage (expandable up to 64GB)
– Camera: 8MP rear, 1.6MP front
– Battery: 2000mAh
– Size: 137mm x 69mm x 9.9mm
– Weight: 158gms

A similar demand has already been seen by Xiaomi Redmi 1S in the past, and the story isn’t expected to be any different this time around. Those interested in the device can keep aside their Rs 5999 and head over to Flipkart on December 8.
