AT&T: Trial Promotion Mini Laptops, broadband service and complimentary ConnecTech Consultations

AT&T recently announced some new offers and services exclusively for select company-owned AT&T stores in Atlanta and Philadelphia. Aiming to lighten the users’ laptop experience while also simplifying the need for great technology, the company’s new offerings include mini laptops, Internet at Home and the Go broadband service and complimentary onsite technical support.

The limited trial will allow consumers in Atlanta to purchase a wide array of mini laptops at promotional prices. The laptops when coupled with the AT&T Internet Home and On the Go broadband service will offer users AT&T 3G wireless services at promotional prices which start from $49.99. For AT&T users in Philadelphia, the company presents identical mini laptops coupled with DataConnect plans at promotional rates in select AT&T retail stores.

For users in Atlanta, the company will also offer trail 30-minute in-store technical support. The service is in fact a cut of the AT&T ConnecTech suite of services. It will be offered at select places for consumers who avail qualifying data plans. Besides, consumers will also be furnished with the Internet at Home and On the Go package as a segment of the same trial. A combination of home and mobile broadband services, the package will allow users to access the ultra-fast 3G network along with unlimited domestic and Wi-Fi access at prices that start from $59.95 per month.

Consumers can also take advantage of the AT&T Communication Manager that will come pre-installed on the mini laptops. The feature will allow users to efficiently manage their mobile and Wi-Fi connections. With AT&T mini laptops, users can surf the Internet minus any hassles while also being updated on social networking sites, sending and receiving emails and managing digital files like photos and music. The laptops that are offered include the Acer Aspire One, Lenovo X200, Dell Inspiron Mini 9 and mini 12 and the LG Xenia.

Pairing mini laptops with AT&T’s home, Wi-Fi, and mobile broadband offerings enables consumers to get the most from their new devices, virtually anywhere, anytime.”

As for AT&T’s ConnecTech service, it is a premiere suite of support services that include support, installation and maintenance. The service delivers remote and in-home computing and home entertainment assistance.

The promotional prices for the mini laptops range from $49.99 to $249.99 when coupled with Internet at Home and On the Go plan. The plan starts at $59.95 per month and comprises of the DataConnect plan and the Fast Access DSL. On purchasing the mini laptops without these AT&T services, users will have to cough up prices in the range of $449 to $599.99. The Lenovo X200 laptop comes for a price of $749.99 and $849.99 with the DataConnect plan and the Internet at Home and On the Go service respectively.

When coupled with the AT$T 2-year DataConnect plan, the mini laptops range in a price from $99.99 to $349.99. The trial includes the DataConnect plan in 2 versions- 200MB that costs $40 per month and 5GB that is priced at $60 per month.
