Beats By Dr Dre Beatbox

The AT&T Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox wireless audio system has been recently announced and its portable form factor could be one aspect that may just click with music lovers on the move. The setup is integrated with a 5.25-inch woofer, a 3.5mm jack and a dock connector for compact media players or smartphones.

The gadget can operate on 6 D-cell batteries or even draw power from a PC, while being employed at home or at a party. It is also complete with carry handles on both sides of its chassis. Besides offering Bluetooth connectivity, it bundles in a full featured remote so that potential users can change tracks from afar.

“As more customers begin to use their smartphone as their primary portable music device, it becomes more important for them to be able to enjoy premium sound quality no matter where they are,” commented Michael Cowan, director, product marketing management – Accessories, AT&T Mobility. “The Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox gives consumers an opportunity to experience their music in its purest form without sacrificing quality for portability.”

The Beatbox should arrive drenched in shades of black and white, branded by the red ‘Beats by Dr. Dre’ logo. As many may have guessed, this device won’t be coming in alone for it will be available with a choice of Beats accessories to be sold separately. The options include wireless HD stereo Bluetooth and Beats Solo HD headphones as well as UR Beats in-ear headsets.

The AT&T Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox price is stamped at $399 and it will be seen hitting the carrier’s stores exclusively and the official web portal on March 11, 2012.
