When the Asus ZenWatch was unveiled back in September, the two things that grabbed a lot of attention were its attractive curved glass design and its price tag which although wasn’t revealed then, was expected to be lower than that of contemporaries. This Android Wear smartwatch has now finally been blessed with its release details by the Taiwanese manufacturer.
As revealed by the company to TechCrunch, It will be seen hitting Best Buy stores in the US on November 9 with its price tagged at $199. The Google Play store will also offer the device at the same asking amount, but starting from a later date. The Samsung Gear Live is the only Android Wear product that’s selling at $199 at the moment.
While the LG G Watch is going for $229, its successor, the G Watch R went on sale recently for a whopping $299. This latter product houses on it a circular display like the one on the Moto 360 which itself comes at $249. Another Android Wear gadget that can be bought right now is the Sony SmartWatch 3 which costs $249.
Among all these, the Asus ZenWatch is sure to gain a lot of attention for its premium looks and functionality that can be yours for just $199. Apart from all the usual Android Wear features, it comes with its own pre-loaded attributes like the functionality which lets you double-tap the screen to launch a pre-assigned task.
