The Asus ZenWatch 3 has officially landed in India and is currently up for pre-orders exclusively via Flipkart. The brand has brought 3 versions of the smartwatch to the country, but plans to release the Gunmetal variant with dark brown rubber straps later in January.
For now, interested buyers can snap up the ZenWatch 3 Silver with beige rubber straps at Rs 17599 and Gunmetal with dark brown leather straps for Rs 18999. The latter has been fashioned out of genuine Italian leather, hence its more expensive price tag.
Asus is placing a heavy emphasis on the wearable’s premium looks, blessing the gadget with what it describes as a Annular Solar Eclipse design. The device also comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass and jewelry-grade 316L stainless steel which the company claims is 82% tougher than traditional steel for enhanced protection against daily wear and tear.
This durability also extends to the ZenWatch 3’s water resistance as it’s been equipped with IP67 certification to ensure that it can withstand being submerged up to 1m underwater for 30 minutes. Another key highlight is its battery life thanks to features like an Eco Mode which supposedly extends power up to 200%.
There’s also an Asus-exclusive HyperCharge tool which is apparently able to reach 60% charge after just 15 minutes. The firm’s further blessed the wearable with 3 separate buttons to allow quick access to apps and various modes such as Ambient, Theater, Brightness Boost, and Eco.
