Asus gave the world its first peek at its new ZenFone 3 series of phones just a few days ago. However, a new rumor regarding the ZenFone 3 Deluxe has now kickstarted a fresh wave of speculation online.
As per the new report, Asus is getting ready to launch an enhanced version of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe in select countries like India and the Philippines. This model will supposedly be powered by a Snapdragon 823 processor instead of the Snapdragon 820 SoC in the recently launched version.
The Snapdragon 823 chipset features the same quad-core setup as the 820. However, it clocks in at 3GHz, a tad higher than the 2.2GHz the latter can boast of. This superior version of the Asus device is supposedly making its way to India and the Philippines by August this year. There’s no word on what other changes can be expected from the rumored handset.

While a faster CPU is a welcome addition, it throws up the question of how much this new-and-improved phone will cost. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is currently priced at $499 (roughly Rs 33600). It’s the most expensive offering to come out of the new trio, equipped as it is with top-of-the-line specs externally and internally.
A rapid take on the top specifications of the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe:
