Asus Zenfone 2E unveiled as an AT&T prepaid device for the US

The incredibly popular ZenFone 2 smartphone from Asus has just been blessed with an all-new variant in the form of the Zenfone 2E which will be sold exclusively in the US by AT&T. It is being offered under the blue carrier’s GoPhone prepaid sub-brand in exchange of just $119.99, without any contract.

The new Asus ZenFone 2E can be grabbed now through Walmart and Target stores, while it will begin being sold through AT&T from July 24 onwards, and via Best Buy from August 2 onwards. This device falls in the lower-end category of the highly populated new range of handsets from the Taiwanese company.

The 4G LTE supporting ZenFone 2E hence carries a 720p HD display instead of a full HD one. Sized at 5 inches, this IPS panel is accompanied on the device’s front by a 2MP selfie shooter. There’s an 8MP rear camera that sits on its rear surface, while a 2500mAh battery can be found inside it.
