The Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe smartphone has been around since quite some time now, with its high-end specs that are provided at a comparatively low price. This handset has been granted a Special Edition in the US now, which can be grabbed at $399.
A 64GB model of the regular Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe can be purchased in the US right now in exchange of $299. But the Special Edition model comes with 128GB storage, and even brings with it two different back panels.
As revealed by MyZen, one of the rear panels offers a carbon-fiber texture, whereas the other one kicks in a chromium silver polygonal design. Another aspect of the Special Edition that distinguishes it from the main phone is the UI.
The company’s proprietary ZenUI has been skinned with a unique notification menu as well as fresh icons, wallpapers and more. This software is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is expected to receive a Marshmallow update in the future.
