The Asus Zenbook U500VZ, the latest addition to this series of laptops, should be able to carry out demanding operations as it employs the quad core Ivy Bridge processor. The notebook claims to offer improved performance through its ‘ultraportable’ and sleek enclosure, constructed using aluminum.
An Intel Core i7 quad core processor as well as the Nvidia GT650M GPU sit under the hood to ensure multitasking and enhanced graphics performance on this portable computer. It comes encased in a chassis that measures 19.7mm in thickness and integrates a 512GB SSD. The device is outfitted with a 15-inch HD IPS display that is said to be capable of rendering clear images with vivid colors, allowing users to stay productive as well as entertained at all times. Additionally, the anti-glare coating on the display does away with reflections even in brightly lit conditions.
And what’s more, it employs a full-size keyboard complete with a numeric keypad and automatic backlight to adjust brightness depending upon the ambient lighting. The notebook can be incorporated with various storage devices such as SSDs and HDDs. Users can have as much as 512GB of storage space on the laptop with the help of dual SSD drives or choose to embed a 128GB SSD and a hard drive of up to 500GB. Furthermore, it takes advantage of the Asus Super Hybrid Engine II technology that extends the battery life by up to 25 percent.
The Asus Zenbook U500VZ price and release date have not been given a mention. It is currently being exhibited at the IFA.
