Premium laptops come with premium prices, but not Asus’ Zenbook UX305 which is official in India with a retail tag of just Rs 49999. The notebook is being touted as the world’s slimmest 13-inch option and it’s also pretty beefy through features like a QHD+ display and an Intel Core M processor.
Let’s start with the main highlights of the Asus Zenbook UX305 – Owing to the use of the new Intel chip, the company has managed to keep the thickness down to just over 12mm. And this is mainly possible since the CPU doesn’t need any extra cooling components thanks to its low power footprint.
Additionally, the notebook is pretty lightweight as well, at 1.2kg. Asus hasn’t held anything back in making the laptop an attractive pick. It features the tradition spun metal look on the outside and the palm rest around the keyboard is kept cool through the use of the IceCool technology.
As mentioned above, the company is touting the device as an entertainment machine. For that, it has employed a 13.3-inch 3200 x 1800 pixel IPS LCD panel and there’s an HD webcam just over the display. Coming to the innards, the Zenbook UX305 is powered by a Core M 5Y10 dual core processor.
