Asus’ Pegasus X002 is the 64-bit MediaTek ZenFone we’ve all been longing for

While the teasers online from Asus have kept us fairly busy and excited about CES 2015, the company has revealed its Pegasus X002 smartphone to add to the anticipation. The handset has made its debut in China and it’s already up for preorder carrying some pretty interesting features and a budget price tag.

The Asus Pegasus X002 will most likely be part of the ZenFone 2 lineup and it’s the same device which got leaked online earlier this month. The handset does look much better compared to what we seen in the previous images and it’s pretty much similar to the current phones.

The rear panel offers a smooth finish while the lower front has the company’s signature spun design. The handset will most likely be the successor to the popular ZenFone 5 as it tags along similar features. The display which is 5 inches wide offers 720p HD visuals. The front has a 5MP selfie shooter and the company notes that the 8MP rear snapper is capable of 30MP high resolution images by merging multiple renders into a single picture.
