Asus has launched a new convertible series under the Transformer Book Chi brand and the lineup comprises of three tablets that can be quickly docked onto an external keyboard for better productivity. The new range is made up of the T300, T100 and T90 which run Windows 8.1 with fanless designs and they vary in size and features.
Let’s start with the largest member which is the Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi carrying a 12.5-inch touchscreen. This device is basically a competitor to the Surface Pro 3 and it comes with the latest Core M processor from Intel. The display used here is an LED backlit IPS panel with options of 1080p and WQHD resolutions.
You’ll also have a say in the memory provisions where there’s choice of 4GB or 8GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB of SSD storage. Other features of the device include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity as well as a 2MP HD webcam. Next up is the T100 Chi which is basically the successor to the popular T100 2-in-1 which was launched last year.
This convertible offers a 7.2mm thin design when not docked and can deliver up to 10 hours of battery life. Asus has revealed that it features a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200p IPS touchscreen, a quad core 1.46GHz Atom processor, a 2MP front HD camera, a 5MP rear snapper, 1GB or 2GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. The T90 Chi is quite similar to the T100, but comes in a smaller form factor.
