We had known about it from a past leak, but the Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA has now officially been unveiled at the ongoing CES event. It is a high-end convertible laptop which can be purchased in a number of different configurations, with their prices starting at $499 and going way beyond $900.

The new Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA comes equipped with a 12.5-inch 1080p display which supports multi-touch gestures. Owing to its convertible design, you can use it in tablet mode, laptop mode, tent mode or stand mode.

Intel’s m3 or m7 processors can be chosen from, while the RAM options for buyers can be 4GB or 8GB. As for storage, eMMC memory is available with this Asus offering, and the choices include 32GB, 64GB or 128GB modules. A microSD card slot is indeed present for further expansions.

Asus Laptop

A couple of USB Type-C ports have made their way onto the Chromebook Flip C302CA as well. Its 2-cell 39Whrs battery promises 10 hours of power, but it remains to be seen how well it performs in real life scenarios. At 1.2kgs, this Asus device is quite light to carry around, and its 304 x 210 x 13.7mm dimensions too make it a pretty compact machine.

Asus has blessed this Chromebook with an illuminated keyboard and an HD webcam. It supports both Wi-Fiac and Bluetooth v4.2 connectivity standards moreover.
