Asus Chromebox goes on sale March 14, pre-orders open

Asus’ highly affordable Chromebox desktop is soon to be available for purchase in the US and for those who can’t wait to get their hands on the mini PC can now pre-order the system online. This Google-powered PC will go on sale starting March 14.

What’s worth mentioning is that only the Celeron model can currently be booked. While the Core i3 version will also be available on the said date, Asus doesn’t have plans to launch the model with a Core i7 processor in the US. The Asus Chromebox will compete against HP’s own Chrome-based mini PC that’s aimed towards business and educational use. Specs-wise, they’re both quite similar, although there’s no price for the latter system as yet.
