This is one of those times when high-end smartphones have to make way for budget-friendly ones like the Archos Titanium handsets to have a share of the spotlight. Because not everyone has a stretchy wallet and most importantly, there are those odd folks who prefer going in for a simple device that just plays the part of a dutiful phone.
So there you have it, arranged in order of size and starting from the smallest – the 40, 45, 50 and 53 of the Titanium series. You’ll never guess what the names stand for! Actually, you might. The first has a 4-inch screen, the second a 4.5-inch one, the third a 5-inch display and the fourth a 5.3-inch panel.
The Archos 50 Titanium has an IPS touch display of 960 x 540p resolution. The 45 and 53 Titanium sport 854 x 480p screens, while the 40 Titanium has an 800 x 480p one. Beginning from the smallest of the lot and ending with the tallest, they embed 1500mAh, 1680mAh, 2100mAh and 2500mAh batteries.
The screen, dimensions, weight and battery are the only four specs which seem to set the Archos smartphones apart from each other. The rest of the details of interest read as such:
– Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS
– 1.3GHz dual core MT6572 processor
– 512MB RAM, 4GB onboard memory, microSD support
– 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, VGA webcam
– Dual SIM slots, aGPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
The 40, 45, 50 and 53 Titanium phones are priced at €99.99, €129.99, €149.99 and €159.99, respectively. The availability information isn’t clear at present. But don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted.
