Back in June we reported about the Archos 35 Home Connect web radio and alarm clock which was expected to arrive in September this year. Albeit a few months late, this Android-based device has finally hit stores in the U.S.

The portable and compact gadget wraps in a 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen and comes embedded with two high definition stereo speakers. It is powered by a 1GHz OMAP3630 processor and runs Android Froyo for smooth and easy use. It is also Wi-Fi enabled and booms with clear sound quality so users can groove to their MP3 playlists. Additionally, the onboard TuneIn Radio Pro app enables potential owners to tune into over 50,000 web radio stations.

The device is complete with 4GB internal memory and sports a microSD card slot which can hold a maximum of 16GB. As for connectivity options, the USB 2.0 is in place along with the 3.5 mm audio jack. Plus, the portable internet radio also dons a front facing snapper integrated with a microphone, facilitating users to connect with their family and friends.

The alarm clock app allows setting of multiple alarms while the offering dishes out news, weather and traffic updates. Users can choose the apps or widgets they want to see on the screen and customize it accordingly. The ability to browse the web, check e-mails and access AppsLib are some of the other features this compact gadget proffers.
