Apart from updated models of its current laptops, Apple took the wraps off an all-new MacBook which has been highly anticipated since September of last year. The latest notebook is basically the first of a new series and it has a 12-inch display wrapped in a super slim and lightweight design.
The all-new MacBook has a lot of surprises in store for Apple fans including a new design and a highly power efficient processor that’s also high on performance. Firstly, almost everything that was rumored about the device has been spot on. The Cupertino giant has gone with an aluminum design for the laptop and is offering it in options of gold, silver and space gray.
The Apple device is also pretty slim at 13.1mm and it tips the scales back by 2 pounds. The new Intel Core M processors from the Broadwell series is one of the main reasons behind the fanless design and thin form factor. A 12-inch 2304 x 1440 pixel Retina display delivers the visuals and there’s a full-size keyboard with an edge-to-edge design to save on space.
The latest MacBook also has a brand new Force Touch trackpad and is the first from the company to implement the USB-C port. Apple also notes that the device comes with OS X Yosemite preloaded and offers all-day battery life with up to 9 hours of Wi-Fi browsing or around 10 hours of video playback.
