Apple has been trying hard to promote device sales in India and the company has now started an all-new offer, the Upgrade to Mac promo, which allows you to trade-in your old Mac for a new one with at a minimum discount of Rs 20,000. This offer is said to be available for a limited time period only, but there’s no mention of when it will end.
The advertisement notes that Macs that are up to 2 years old will be entitled to a discount as high as Rs 40,000. And if your system is anywhere between 2 to 3 years in age, you can expect up to Rs 30,000 off. The Rs 20,000 cut is for PCs between 3 to 4 years old.
The promo is only applicable on laptops and not the Mac Mini, iMac and Mac Pro series. Additionally, Apple is also conducting a buyback offer for branded laptops, albeit no concrete details about it have been provided. Last year, the company started a similar promotion for the iPad, allowing customers to trade-in their old Apple slates or other tablets for a decent price cut.
The Upgrade to Mac promo has gone live across various authorized dealers including large retailers such as Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, Croma and Ezone amongst others. Just so you know, only systems that are fully functional and accompanied by their original accessories are being accepted. The 11-inch MacBook Air is on sale in India Rs 67,900, while the 13-inch model costs Rs 74,900 and above. The 13-inch and 15-inch Pro models have starting prices of Rs 99,900 and Rs 149,900, respectively.
