The Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular is due to make its India debut on May 4, going up for pre-orders on that date before hitting availability on May 11. Strangely enough, the company hasn’t revealed just how big of a hole the smartwatch will burn in your wallet.
Gadgets 360 claims to have obtained the price tags of all the Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular variants in India. The base 38mm Aluminum case and Sport Band model is apparently going to start at Rs 39080. This is Rs 6700 more than the GPS-only entry-level Apple Watch Series 3 which officially retails for Rs 32380.
Next up is the 38mm Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular with Aluminum case and Nike Sport Band which goes for Rs 39130. The bigger 42mm Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular version with Aluminum case and Sport Band is supposedly going to vend at Rs 41120, while the 42mm Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular version with Aluminum case and Nike Sport Band might sell at Rs 41180.
The data-ready Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular iteration offers many advantages over the GPS-only variant. First of all, it has a distinctive red crown to differentiate it from the latter. Then there’s the fact that you won’t need your iPhone to go online, pick up calls, get notifications, and stream music.
Airtel and Reliance Jio are both going to sell the Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular via its respective sites. It wasn’t clear if the wearable would be sold through offline shops as well, but the new report asserts that device will be sold via Apple retail partners as well.
