The day has finally come for millions of fanboys in the US to place their pre-orders for the coveted Apple Watch devices. While bookings for the smartwatch have been opened up online, the new ultra-slim MacBook has finally managed to go on sale today as well.
Customers can order the Apple Watch Sport, the Apple Watch as well as the Apple Watch Edition in various combinations of color, size and strap. This may be pleasing news for those eagerly awaiting the product, but they won’t be happy to know that shipping is only scheduled to commence in four to six weeks.
The Watch Sport which is built from a special aluminum alloy and features a flexible fluoroelastomer band can be pre-ordered at $349 or $399, depending on whether you go for 38mm or 42mm sizes. The Apple Watch on the other hand, can be snapped up at somewhere between $549 and $1099. Made from stainless steel, it comes with a variety of different band options.
Coming to the Apple Watch Edition, it’s not something a lot of people will be able to afford. The price of this limited edition device made with 18k gold starts at $10000 for the 38mm model and goes up to $12000 for the 42mm variant.
The all new MacBook has also gone live on Apple’s online store with a giant starting price of $1299. The ridiculously thin and lightweight laptop from the Cupertino giant ships with a unique trackpad, and offers several new hardware attributes, but cuts down on connectivity by offering just a single USB-C port.
The enormous demand which the Apple Watch is expected to have will definitely be surpassing the limited supply which the company has at the moment; so patrons must hurry with their pre-orders.
