Apple releases Mac OS X 10.5.3 Update

Apple logo Apple has released Mac OS X 10.5.3 update, fixing vulnerabilities found in the Mac OS. The salient feature of the new update is that Mac users can now sync their Mac Address Book contacts with Google Contacts.

Moreover, the update also heals the iCal vulnerabilities that were discovered by Core Security Technologies recently. The three flaws were said to pose a big security threat. They were capable enough to crash the application. Hence Mac users were desperately waiting for the update.

Furthermore, the latest update also improves Mac OS X components such as Apache, Flash Player Plug-in, Help Viewer, Image Capture, Mail, and Wiki Server etc. Also it offers general stability and improvements affecting applications such as Address Book, AirPort, Automator, iCal, iChat, Mail, Parental Controls, Spaces, Time Machine, and VoiceOver.

Apple suggests the update for Mac OS X 10.5, 10.5.1 and 10.5.2 users. The latest update is available at the Mac Software Update control panel or as a download from Apple’s website.
