Confirming what rumors had already told us, Apple has announced an event that it will be holding on March 21. In typical fashion, the company hasn’t revealed anything about the stars of this show, but based on leaks, you can expect a new 4-inch iPhone and a 9.7-inch iPad Pro to make their debuts at this shindig.
Earlier, March 15 was being touted to be the much anticipated date, but it seems the event has been moved to March 21 to allow more time for preparation. Apart from the two above mentioned products, we might also be treated with some updates to the Apple Watch which has been in the market since April 2015.
But all eyes will definitely be grabbed by the apparent iPhone SE, as it’s expected to be called. This device will adopt a 4-inch display in order to please those who aren’t quite happy with the larger panels on the new models. Rumors have also told us that it will take its design cues from the iPhone 5S.
The 3D Touch functionality will reportedly be absent on this device, but you can expect it to come with a fingerprint scanner and Apple Pay support. Conflicting reports exist about its camera, with some saying it will adopt an 8MP sensor and some indicating that it will go for the iPhone 6S range’s 12MP unit.

As for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, it has been rumored to have been fitted with the latter camera. Just like its name suggests, it will be a smaller version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and will hence support Apple Pencil as well as a smart keyboard.
The press invite in the image above (via Engadget) doesn’t have any clues hidden in it, as Apple wants the anticipation to stay as it is until March 21. Stay tuned until then to know all the details about this event.
