We thought, it was the last time we were hearing from Apple about MobileMe before it is revamped and is reborn as a better application. However, everything is not over for the MobileMe users yet. But this time it is news that will relieve you. Apple is granting the MobileMe subscribers an extension of 30 days more, adding upto a total of 60 days of free service since the first extension of 30 days that was announced in July.
The extension is confirmed after Apple sent mails to its MobileMe subscribers informing them about the free service and also acknowledging their ‘patience’ with the application.
Apple also claimed to have made many an improvements.
“We have already made many improvements to MobileMe, but we still have many more to make. To recognize our users’ patience, we are giving every MobileMe subscriber as of today a free 60 day extension. This is in addition to the one month extension most subscribers have already received. We are working very hard to make MobileMe a great service we can all be proud of. We know that MobileMe’s launch has not been our finest hour, and we truly appreciate your patience as we turn this around…” says the mail.
Apple’s official website also carries the details about the service.
MobileMe has had a rocky start since its release in July 10 which Steve Jobs; Apple CEO admits was not their “finest hour” in an internal mail. Subscribers faced crashed server and difficulties in accessing their mails. Also Apple reported to have lost certain mails from 18 to 22nd of July.
