Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus can be pre-booked in India now at Rs 2000

The MobileStore has today started giving them this option, as long as they’re ready to pay Rs 2000 upfront.

It will stop taking pre-bookings from October 13 onwards, as the smartphones will officially be launched by Apple a few days later. It has been revealed that while buying the iPhone 6S or the iPhone 6S Plus, customers will be able to take advantage of free EMI options via leading banks in India.

According to a report by The Economic Times, Chennai-based retailer UniverCell Mobiles has also started taking pre-orders for the new handsets. The company’s founder has said that during the pre-booking phase several freebies like back cases will be offered to customers. It has moreover come up with an upgrade program for existing iPhone users as well.

While there’s no official confirmation about the prices of these two offerings, we have heard a rumor that the retail value of the smaller device may start from Rs 62000 for its 16GB model. This way, the 128GB variant of the iPhone 6S Plus will cost Rs 92000, thus managing to keep the asking amount below the dreaded Rs 1 lakh mark.
