Apple to give free Beats Solo3 headphones with Macs and iPhones in select markets

Beats Solo3

People from a select list of Asian countries will soon be able to benefit from a promotion under which Apple will be offering free Beats Solo3 wireless headphones with Mac or iPhone purchases for one day. This is apparently a celebration of the Chinese New Year, and the offer will only be valid on January 6.

Countries eligible for this freebie are China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. It will be given to anyone who buys an iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s or an iPhone 6s Plus. As for Macs, the offer extends to all models of the iMac, the MacBook, the MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air and the Mac Pro. For some reason though, the 2016 MacBook Pro with a Touch Bar is not eligible.

This is a pretty big deal because the Apple Beats Solo3 wireless headphones cost around $300 normally. Equipped with Class 1 Bluetooth technology, these can stay connected to your Apple Watch, iPad and Mac at the same time. They moreover, boast of more than 40 hours of battery life, while they also feature a fast charging technology that helps them gain 3 hours of juice in just 5 minutes.

The Beats Solo3 also come with on-ear controls and dual beam-forming mics that allow you to take your calls without touching your iPhone. Thanks to this, you can even activate Siri with the ‘Hey Siri’ command.

To refresh, January 6 is the date on which the Beats Solo3 promotion for Mac and iPhone purchases will take place in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
