Amazon India is celebrating Motorola’s 45th anniversary by selling a couple of its phones at a discount till April 11. The company had debuted the first-ever mobile phone, the Motorola DynaTAC, in 1973.
Starting off with the cheapest device on offer, the 16GB Moto G5 has become Rs 4211 cheaper at Rs 8388. There’s also an exchange deal which can knock off up to Rs 6793 from the price, although the exact rate depends on your area. Next up is the 16GB Moto G5 Plus which is selling at Rs 9990, a massive Rs 6009 cut.
The Moto G5 Plus is also available at a slightly lower Rs 9998 in a Lightning Deal which expires in a couple of hours. Moving on to newer specimens, the 32GB Moto G5S is selling at Rs 9999 after a Rs 5000 drop from Rs 14999. The 64GB Moto G5S Plus has gone from Rs 16999 to Rs 14449, a Rs 2550 difference.
If you’re on the lookout for something more premium, the Moto Z2 Play is Rs 9000 less expensive, having fallen from Rs 29999 to Rs 20999. The handset also serves as a gateway to the world of Moto Mods. It should be noted that the 2018 additions to the G and Z series are due in the coming months, so it might be worth the wait if you’d rather buy phones which are more recent.
The Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus are supposed to come out in Brazil on April 19. There’s no fixed timeline for the Moto Z3 Play yet, but it might stick to its predecessor’s June timeline.
