After Vodafone launched STD and local calls at just Re. 1/minute in India, Airtel stepped into the battle-ground with its dial-a-postpaid scheme. The dial-a-postpaid scheme promises to offer an affordable rate to mobile phone users.
Airtel’s dial-a-postpaid scheme provides users the flexibility of calling at affordable rates of 50p/minute for local calls. The scheme invites users with a tariff plan of Rs. 400 a month, local calls at the rate of 50p/minute for local calls and all STD calls at Rs 1. To satisfy their customers further, Airtel offers and 800 local minutes and SMS free of charge on this plan.
Bharti-Airtel CEO (Mobile Services-Tamil Nadu) Rajiv Rajagopal said, “This new launch of Dial-a-Postpaid is yet another initiative by Airtel to make mobile services easily available to the masses at their doorstep.”
To make the conversion process simpler and faster, Airtel is eager to offer the plan where they are ready to transfer the old SIM data onto the new SIM card in this new service absolutely free of charge and mobile users can enjoy STD calling without any entry deposit for STD/ISD facility. This new scheme is set to bring in delight to the Airtel customers with its affordable rates and the free calling and SMS limit.
