Acer has hurriedly pushed out the Liquid Z4 and Liquid E3 before all those MWC releases have a chance of swamping these two. The first is a compact and budget friendly phone with a 4-inch screen, while the second is a larger and costlier handset sporting a 4.7-inch display.
Both are pretty nondescript looking devices in black with red accents. Acer says that the Liquid Z4 will also be available in a shade of white when it hits Europe in April for €99. The Liquid E3 shares that same release details and it will carry a price tag of €199.
Acer has announced that the Liquid E3 will be upgraded from Jelly Bean 4.2.2 to KitKat 4.4 later this year, but hasn’t mentioned anything similar for the Liquid Z4. In terms of specs, neither of the handsets may be capable of blowing your mind. The 4.7-inch device has a 1.2GHz quad core chip and 1GB of RAM.
It offers 4GB of onboard memory and flaunts a 13MP camera on the rear panel. The 4-inch device is powered by a 1.3GHz dual core processor and Jelly Bean. Probably working with 1GB RAM, it also holds 4GB of internal space. A lower resolution 5MP camera can be found on its back and there’s nothing on its front webcam.
