The Acer Liquid Gallant and its dual-SIM version, the Gallant Duo, have geared up to make their first appearance at the IFA towards the end of this month. The dual SIM phone will be made available in September this year, while its sibling will follow soon after.
These latest additions to the Liquid range of smartphones from the company treat users to the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, Android v4.0.4 to be precise. Fitted with a 4.3-inch qHD multi-touch display, they claim to render clear images and texts. The devices come drenched in shades of gentle black or ceramic white and are encased in a comfortable-to-hold exterior embedded with a conveniently placed power button on the flip side.
“This new Acer smartphone mission is quite simple: bring the best experience to all the modern days’ explorers, which results in creating a very affordable phone with no compromise on performance and usability,” commented Allen Burnes, SPBG EMEA Vice President.
Features like a lock screen, a notification area and the Swype keyboard amongst others, add to these smartphones’ functionality. A 5MP camera rests on the devices’ rear panel and features built-in LED flash, capabilities to record videos and capture 2.5D pictures, smile detection, panorama mode, touch focus and more. And if that’s not enough, the Acer phones are outfitted with Surround Sound for a better acoustic experience too.
The Acer Liquid Gallant and Gallant Duo price and release date details are yet to be confirmed. The latter is expected to be launched next month and the former shortly after that. The phones will also be on display at the IFA.
