The 9.7-inch iPad Pro has finally hit India today, a day before its launch sibling the iPhone SE is set to arrive in the country. The tablet has already begun shipping in countries around the world.
Interested buyers of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will have to shell out Rs 49900 for the 32GB Wi-Fi only model, Rs 61900 for the 128GB one and Rs 73900 for the 256GB variant. It gets even more expensive with the 32GB, 128GB and 256GB Wi-Fi + Cellular version which are priced at Rs 61900, Rs 73900 and Rs 85900, respectively.
The new Apple iPad will also be accompanied by the release of a range of accessories. The Apple Pencil stylus costs Rs 8600, while the Smart Keyboard Case goes for Rs 13900. There’s also a Smart Cover and Silicon Case at Rs 3700 and Rs 5200, correspondingly. Other items up for grabs include a Lightning to USB-C Cable, Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter and 29W USB-C Power Adapter.
Apple had claimed that the smaller iPad Pro was as powerful as its bigger variant during the former’s launch event. However, a subsequent benchmark test has proven that the 9.7-inch model is not as fast as the 12.9-inch one. While both feature the top-of-the-line A9X chipset, the brand has underclocked the first with a speed of 2.16GHz, as opposed to the second’s 2.24GHz rate.
