AT&T has revealed that it will bring the 64GB version of the HTC One exclusively to its network. This information comes by way of a video uploaded on one of the carrier’s official YouTube channels. We just saw the handset hit several outlets in the UK, but American buyers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the device, due a pesky delay.
It’s no doubt that the handset comes with some interesting advances in technology such as BoomSound which utilizes the device’s front-facing stereo speakers with a dedicated amplifier for a better audio experience. There is a completely new take on home screens with the company’s BlinkFeed. This allows users to have a constantly updated stream of content for them to take in, and they can choose what kind of stuff shows up and where.
Coming to the phone’s impressive specs, the platform bringing everything to users is Jelly Bean, with a helping of the new Sense 5 UI, and it does so through a 4.7-inch full HD display. On the back is a 4MP camera of the ‘UltraPixel’ variety, which is supposed to let in more light for clearer images and equivalence to leading 13MP sensors. For video calls and the like is a 2.1MP webcam on the front.
Quietly running the show is a 1.7GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM, but keeping power requirements in check is a 2,300mAh battery pack. In terms of connectivity, users will have access to NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi, with LTE and DLNA as well, while there is also GPS with GLONASS.
Sadly, the video of the 64GB HTC One on AT&T doesn’t pin down a time frame for release, but the device is expected to hit stores in the US sometime this month, at least that’s what the manufacturer said, pushing back the phone’s earlier planned launch. And as Droid Life points out, the statement of exclusivity pops up twice in the highlight clip.
