After the Bolt A28 and Bolt A59, yet another Micromax phone dubbed Canvas XL A119 has been unveiled. But unlike the Bolt series handsets, you will have to wait for the A119 to hit availability status on January 19. What’s more, it’s a phablet with a 6-inch display and not a puny little smartphone.
It commands a price of Rs 13,990 and is currently up on the HomeShop18 retail website. That being said, it’s very difficult to get excited about the Canvas XL. Budget Android devices are flooding the Indian marketplace at a very rapid pace and rarely do we see any making a real effort to stand out from the crowd.
So you’ll pardon us if we continue talking about the Micromax A119 in a monotone. Or you could scroll down for a look at the main specifications. The smartphone’s front panel, across which the 6-inch display stretches, is white and Micromax has dipped its paintbrush in a pot of silver gray for the rear casing.
Placed above the screen is a 5MP camera vying for some of the attention you will be bestowing on the main 8MP shooter. The handset gets its steam from Android Jelly Bean, 1GB RAM, a 1.3GHz quad core processor and a 2450mAh battery. The 4GB of onboard memory space can be supplemented by a 32GB microSD card if necessary. And that’s about it.
